The designs of the Souvenir collection are reflections of our global society in which cultures increasingly merge. Geke Lensink designed minimalistic stools and vases with geometrical patterns, decorative plates and wooden benches that despite the differences in material, shape and colour form a close-knit family.

The products originate from the same source, having common core: the memories of Lensink’s travels and the contact with other cultures, which she brings together in a large, fluid melting pot. 

The wonder of archetypal shapes, the beauty of specific colours, patterns and typical material finishes are permanently embedded in the designer's memories. Lensink brings them back home from her travels, where she translates the wealth of images and impressions into new aesthetic designs. She abstracts her inspiration to the point where the origin becomes. After all, a wooden stool is not typically Japanese just because it is minimalistic, a ceramic plate is not necessarily Moroccan because of its pattern.  

Even though the contemporary furniture pieces carry recognizable characteristics, the Souvenir collection is exciting and layered, precisely because all designs comprise interpretations of the designer’s merged memories and impressions.
